Machine shops use inspection reports to prove parts meet drawing requirements.

Disposition is the final decision on what happens to the inspected parts. "Accept" means parts meet all requirements. "Reject" means parts are scrapped or returned. "Rework" means parts need additional machining to bring them into spec. "Concession" means parts are accepted with a documented deviation from the original specification.
